As an interior designer, I have a love for all design styles. However, one of my favorite interior design styles to work on for clients is the Modern Organic Home. This design style started to become popular towards the end of 2020 and has been rapidly gaining ground in the design world ever since. A modern organic home is a combination of modern, minimalist, and earthy design styles. Thriving in a realm of coziness mixed with natural textures and plenty of neutral layers, modern organic lovers love embracing the warmth of natural elements in their home.
How exactly can you achieve a Modern Organic home aesthetic, you may ask?
It all starts with choosing the canvas for your home – the right paint colors. Today, I want to share a round up of some of my most favorite paint colors to use in Modern Organic Home Designs. Staying true to a modern, organic foundation means relying heavily on neutrals.  In a world of Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moores, and Farrow and Ball, I am going to narrow down your paint choices to the most popular warm, organic paint colors.
Â
Sherwin Williams Alabaster – This white will always be my favorite and is a classic creamy white shade. With a delicate balance of bright white and warmth, this white gives a clean, minimalist look to any room while adding a certain level of coziness. This is the perfect amount of white and creamy  without being too yellow and is one of the most versatile white paint colors for Sherwin Williams.
Benjamin Moore White Dove – Another classic white color that gives warm vibes is Benjamin Moore’s White Dove. This is a great option for both trim and moldings as well as a primary wall color. It’s classified as an off white paint color and  is a softer white shade than Alabaster though not quite as versatile.
Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter – This stunning griege color has been a fan favorite for years. Most recently, this color has shown up in trends as THE paint color choice for doors, kitchen cabinets, and trim. This color looks best in rooms with lots of light and is the bridge between warm and cool tones. Try this color with SW Alabaster in the kitchen or hallway for a contrasting trim look.
Sherwin Williams Urbane Bronze – This is a drop dead gorgeous color for those who are wanting a darker color choice without going too black or too gray. Although this is a warm griege color, it does have some green undertones to consider when pairing it with other paint colors and furnishings. However, I have used this color for many projects, and every one of my clients love how rich and vibrant this color is.
Behr Nature’s Gift – If you are wanting a colorful neutral paint color, then Nature’s Gift is the best choice for you. This paint color is a light green shade that mimics nature’s foliage. As a primary wall color, this would look beautiful in a kids room or bathroom paired with some whimsical wallpaper.
Farrow and Ball Mole’s Breath – This rich paint color is perfect for a contrasting kitchen island or accent wall. This dark, warm gray is moody yet vibrant with a hint of creaminess in the mix. Based on the lighting in a room, this color could show off it’s gray undertones or its more chocolate brown undertones.
Benjamin Moore Anonymous – This deep, moody color has gray, green undertones that can be paired nicely with a warm white to give a cozy feel . This shade would look stunning on a vaulted or high ceiling to give a dramatic flair or would be breathtaking in a color drenched floor to ceiling bedroom.
Benjamin Moore Stone Hearth – When you think of natural stone elements, this is the color you would think of. This warm gray gives a twinge of beige vibes when it is hit by the sun. Think of this color as the moodier griege brother to Revere Pewter.
Farrow and Ball Hardwick White – This shade gives a chalky vibe to any room. This color is great for a dark yet light primary wall color for those not quite ready to go as bold as Urbane Bronze. Classified as a gray shade, this color goes perfect with a vintage twist of the modern organic home style.
