For this active Georgia family of seven — two parents, four kids ranging from newborn to teen, and three beloved dogs — home needed to be more than just beautiful. It had to be a haven. With full lives and full schedules, they wanted a space that felt luxurious yet deeply comfortable, where they could recharge, host, and grow together as a family.

While both parents love classic design, they weren’t afraid to take bold risks — blending timeless materials with fresh, unexpected details. Their vision: a home that felt curated and elevated, but still warm, personal, and highly functional for everyday life. Our role was to deliver on that vision through full-service design that balanced elegance with ease.

Design Challenges

Create a home that could support the pace of busy family life while still feeling calm and organized
Incorporate durable, family-friendly materials without sacrificing warmth and personality
Design interiors that felt timeless, functional, and flexible enough to evolve alongside the family over time

How We Delivered

Interestingly, the direction for this home began with the one feature the wife simply could not connect with: the existing fireplace. What started as frustration with a single architectural element quickly evolved into a larger conversation about how the home felt as a whole and how the family truly wanted to live within it.

From there, the home was thoughtfully redesigned to feel warmer, more functional, and better aligned with the family’s everyday lifestyle. Cozy, earthy tones and organic materials were layered throughout the home to create a grounded and welcoming atmosphere that still felt elevated and timeless.

A moody, color-drenched home office brought depth and personality into the design, while durable, pet-friendly materials and thoughtfully integrated storage solutions helped support the realities of daily life without sacrificing comfort or style. Throughout the home, each room was designed to feel connected yet personal in a way that felt natural to the family.

The result is a home that feels inviting, lived-in, and deeply reflective of the family who calls it home.
