For a Georgia family building their first custom home, the goal was to create a serene, modern retreat that felt elevated yet entirely livable. Nestled near the foothills of Mount Yonah, the home was designed to embrace clean lines, expansive views, and an open, airy layout that supports both family life and quiet moments of calm.
With a deep appreciation for contemporary design and natural surroundings, they envisioned a home where every room felt intentional, but never overly styled. Our role was to fully furnish the home from the ground up — selecting pieces that emphasized the architecture, softened the modern edges, and made the new build feel warm, personal, and ready to grow with them.

How We Delivered
The design of this mountain retreat centered around creating a home that felt welcoming and deeply connected to its surroundings. Warm oak tones, earthy neutrals, soft upholstery, and layered natural textures were thoughtfully incorporated throughout the interiors to soften the clean architectural lines and bring a greater sense of comfort into the home.
In the main living area, tailored seating and an intentionally refined layout were designed to frame both the striking stone fireplace and expansive mountain views, allowing the architecture and surrounding landscape to remain the focal point. Throughout the home, each furnishing and material selection was approached with both beauty and practicality in mind to balance durable, family-friendly living with a quieter, more elevated aesthetic.
The result is a home that feels modern yet approachable: a livable mountain retreat designed for gathering, slowing down, and enjoying the natural beauty surrounding it.
