Can you believe that Christmas is right around the corner? One of the many highlights of Christmas for me getting out all the holiday decorations. Sometimes, though, it can be overwhelming if you don’t know where to begin. Today, I’m sharing a quick list of my personal favorite holiday home decorating tips that can help you prepare for the season and make the experience more enjoyable.
1. Festive Greenery
When adding greenery to my mantle or entryway table, I prefer to use light up garland. Christmas lights wrapped in fresh garland always gets me into the holiday spirit and is sure to do the same for you and your guests. Other popular garland pairing choices could also consist of pinecones, berries, and frosted leaves.
2. Holiday Lanterns
Nothing portrays the joy of Christmas better than decorative lanterns filled with glowing light. These holiday showstoppers are perfect any time of day. You can find a variety of holiday lanterns in every style to warm up your home as family comes to visit.
3. Seasonal Soft Goods
When things get cold outside, wrapping up in soft blankets and fluffy pillows is the perfect remedy to keep your spirits bright. Depending on your style, you can find a variety of holiday blankets, pillows, or pillow covers to give your home a layered look and to help the family feel cozy all winter long.
4. Christmas Trees
Everyone knows decorating the tree is one of the best things to do as a family. However, it doesn’t just stop there at my house. I always love to decorate with a variety of Christmas trees that can be placed in the kitchen, on the mantle, or on the coffee table. The different types of mini-Christmas trees keep it interesting and can vary from full potted trees to thin wooden trees.
5. Celebratory Colors
Although I tend to a more neutral styling palette, I am a big fan of the traditional Christmas colors like deep green and dark red. Christmas is the best time to throw in a few pops of holiday color to celebrate the season. Add those Christmas colors any place that you want, and it will instantly add a festive aesthetic to your home.
6. Winter Houses
This last holiday styling tool is actually a popular trend you can use all year round. Wood and metal houses give your table or mantle the holiday spirit that it deserves. While I have seen these houses for different seasons, they always seem more popular around Christmastime when everyone wishes to be home, surrounded by their family and friends.
I hope these tips can help you find easy ways to spruce up your home without adding to the holiday stress. Even using one of these holiday décor tools can get your home ready for all the joy that comes with the season. Once it’s all in place, you can enjoy your time with family and friends who gather in your home for the holidays. I hope your Christmas is full of memories and fun! Merry Christmas!
